Roving exhibitions to show exterior design of ventilation facilities of Central-Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link
The Highways Department will launch a series of roving exhibitions to display various design options for the three ventilation buildings, vent shaft and administration building of the Central-Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link (CWB).
The roving exhibitions, which will begin on Thursday (July 29) at the CWB Community Liaison Centre, will be held at different venues on the Hong Kong Island until September 3, 2010.
The CWB is a 4.5km long trunk road, including a 3.7km long tunnel to link Central to North Point. The three ventilation buildings, east vent shaft and administration building will be located at the central area of Hong Kong Island and near the waterfront. The Government attaches great importance to the exterior design of these facilities and aims to gather public opinion widely.
