Tenders invited for Lift and Pedestrian Walkway System at Waterloo Hill

The Highways Department (HyD) today (July 15) invited tenders for the Lift and Pedestrian Walkway System at Waterloo Hill (Contract No. HY/2016/03).

The works are scheduled to commence this December and will take about 30 months to complete. The works mainly comprise:

* Construction of a lift tower of about 28 metres in height with two lifts at Waterloo Road;
* Construction of an elevated walkway of about 3.5 metres in clear width and about 19 metres in length connecting the above lift tower to Man Fuk Road Garden; and
* Ancillary works, including associated road, drainage, public utilities, public lighting, landscaping, electrical and mechanical works, etc.

The Works Division of the HyD will supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the forms of tender and further particulars from the Works Division of the Highways Department at 7/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The submission of tenders will close at noon on August 26, 2016 (Friday).
