Tenders invited for Widening of Castle Peak Road between Kwun Tsing Road and Hoi Wing Road

     The Highways Department (HyD) today (July 31) invited tenders for the Widening of Castle Peak Road between Kwun Tsing Road and Hoi Wing Road (Contract No. HY/2020/07).
 
     The works are scheduled to commence in November and will take about 42 months to complete.  The works mainly include:
 
(i) widening of the section of Castle Peak Road – Castle Peak Bay between Hoi Wing Road and Hong Kong Gold Coast Phase I, Tuen Mun (approximately 1.9 kilometres long) from the current single two-lane carriageway to a dual two-lane carriageway; 

(ii) improvement to nine existing road junctions and a roundabout at the above road section; 

(iii) modification of an existing footbridge near Sam Shing Estate and construction of lifts; and 

(iv) ancillary works including drainage, traffic aids, public lighting, environmental mitigation measures, landscaping, slope, retaining walls, electrical and mechanical as well as other ancillary works.        
     
     The HyD has appointed AECOM Consulting Services Limited as the consultant to design and supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the tender forms and other particulars from AECOM Consulting Services Limited at 12th Floor, Grand Central Plaza, Tower 2, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong.
      
     The invitation to tender was gazetted today. Submission of tenders will close at noon on September 25 (Friday). Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box located at the lobby of the Public Entrance on the Ground Floor, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong.
