Road Improvement Works for West Kowloon Reclamation Development (Phase 1)
Project Description:
To improve the road network in the West Kowloon Reclamation Development area to cope with future traffic demand:
- construction of a single lane elevated carriageway connecting Hoi Po Road to West Kowloon Highway northbound, and realignment of a section of Lin Cheung Road northbound and a section of Hoi Fai Road (Scheme H(A));
- construction of a single lane elevated carriageway connecting the elevated Nga Cheung Road to the toll plaza of Western Harbour Crossing (Scheme I);
- construction of a single lane at-grade carriageway connecting West Kowloon Highway southbound to the elevated Nga Cheung Road (Scheme J);
- widening of the junction of Canton Road with Austin Road and Austin Road West, junction of Canton Road with Wui Cheung Road and junction of Canton Road with Jordan Road and Ferry Street (Scheme Q); and
- associated civil and road works, slope and geotechnical works, public lighting facilities, drainage and water works, and landscaping works.
