Island Line

The Island Line along the northern shore of Hong Kong Island was first opened in 1985. With the commissioning of the West Island Line in December 2014, the Island Line was extended to Kennedy Town from Sheung Wan. At present, Island Line is 16.3 km long between the 2 terminal stations at Kennedy Town and Chai Wan with 15 intermediate stations; namely HKU, Sai Ying Pun, Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tin Hau, Fortress Hill, North Point, Quarry Bay, Tai Koo, Sai Wan Ho, Shau Kei Wan and Heng Fa Chuen. Central is the interchange station with Tsuen Wan Line, and also interchanges with Hong Kong Station on Tung Chung Line and Airport Express Line. Admiralty is the interchange station with Tsuen Wan Line, South Island Line (East) and East Rail Line. North Point and Quarry Bay are the interchange stations with Tseung Kwan O Line.
